A lot has been happening Odyssey Travels & Tours in recent weeks, despite working from home. When travel is ready to resume, the Odyssey team will be ready to go with a new focus and new vision for tourism. Of course we will continue to offer the same great service, the same commitment to quality and the same passion for travel for travel that we have always had. So you may ask: “What’s new?”
For starters, we have moved office. Our new home is a stunning colonial heritage building located in the heart of downtown. Months of careful restoration have paid off. We pealed off layer upon layer of paint to reveal the beauty of the original woodwork. We fixed old, cracked framework to bring the windows back to their original glory. And we gave the office a much-needed facelift with fresh paint and new lights. The resulting combination of open-plan layout, lofty ceilings and expansive windows creates an inspirational space for designing memorable holidays. We feel truly at home in this space and are proud to be a part of preserving Yangon’s colonial history.
In this space, we are focusing on creating new itineraries for our guests. This new product range will showcase our extensive local knowledge with more immersive experiences, more off-the-beaten track destinations and more personalized travel planning. Each of our tours will be customized from start to finish, fine-tuning the details until the itinerary perfectly matches your travel style and interests. We also have a new range of outbound destinations coming, including Iceland, Bhutan, Greece and more. When borders open and we can safely travel, these enticing destinations should be at the top of your list!
We also have a new member of our team! In mid-August, Anne Cruickshanks joined the Odyssey family as Managing Director. Anne has been involved in the Myanmar tourism industry for over a decade and will be leaning on her experience to lead the team and develop new product.
